Q: What is the Community Engagement Council?
A: The Community Engagement Council, or CEC for short, is a driven group of young professionals that want to make a difference for children with special needs in the Louisville Metro community. The CEC is a division of the WHAS Crusade for Children, a Louisville nonprofit organization that has raised more than $184 million since 1954 for children with medical, physical, emotional and mental needs.
Q: What opportunities does the CEC offer to young professionals?
A: Being involved in the CEC will help you develop your networking skills with other business professionals in our community, introduce you to board service and provide you with resume-building volunteer skills. Not to mention, you will directly impact children with special needs in Kentucky and Indiana by helping to raise money for therapeutic and equipment needs!
Q: How does the CEC raise funds and awareness for the WHAS Crusade for Children?
A: The CEC hosts a number of exiting events around Louisville geared to a variety of interests, including themed trivia nights, wine fundraisers and more! Check out the CEC Facebook page or the Events tab of this website to find out what’s coming up.
